FAQ – NA Freeride World Tour Club A La Carte

Is it obligatory to book the courses in advance?

It’s always better to book in advance, especially for these courses, as the places are limited.

More and more bookings are made online and so if you don’t book in advance, there’s a risk that the lessons you wanted may no longer be available once you arrive in Nendaz or that we are not able to find you a mountain guide.

Where is the first meeting point with Neige Aventure?

Once you have booked and received your course voucher, your first meeting point will be at the main Ski School office.

Our team will be there to welcome you in English, French, Dutch or German.

They will update you on any last minute news such as weather, special events during the week, confirmation of meeting points etc.

Which level do I need for the Freeride Courses?

These courses are specially designed for the more advanced skiers and snowboarders. In order to reserve a Mountain Guide for Freeriding you need to have a very good ski level (i.e. comfortable skiing all terrain including black runs, off-piste & variables, bumps – energy level ski or Rider 1 snowboard) and also be in good physical condition.

Please mention to your guide if you don’t have any experience with avalanche safety equipment (i.e. avalanche transceiver devices).

Is special equipment required for the Freeride Courses?

We recommend that you use Freeride skis (conditions dependent)

Normally you should be fine with ‘All Mountain’ skis or snowboards. It’s a great opportunity to test the latest freeride equipment. Check out our special rental prices with our package deals!

It is obligatory to wear a helmet. If you rent your equipment with NA OnTheMountain Shop, a helmet is offered free of charge.

For the off-piste activities, participants must be equipped with a transceiver in good working condition (for further information please ask our experts in the OnTheMountain Shop or your Mountain Guide).

What lift pass do I need?

Our Mountain Guides will let you know in advance which type of lift pass you’ll need for the day. They will ensure that you’re taken to the secret spots within the 4 Vallées and try and find as much powder riding as possible!

You can choose to take only a week’s Printse pass and then upgrade accordingly for that particular day.
