What is my level of mountain biking?

 

It is imperative to know your level of mountain biking. We want more than anything else that you can enjoy our courses to the fullest. Below you will find elements indicating your level. Don't forget to mention this when booking your course.

 

Beginner

Physical condition :

20-40km / 800m altitude difference

Control technology :

Easy to drive, without technical difficulty. Short narrow and steep passages are possible.

 

Intermediate

Physical condition :

30-50km / 800-1500m altitude difference (good physical condition required)

Control technology :

Easy to drive, but with technical sections (roots, stones, narrow bends, some steep slopes)

Advanced

Physical condition :

40-70km / 1200m-2000m altitude difference (good physical condition and regular training required)

Control technology :

Technically demanding with many challenges (drop, jumps, stairs, winding paths, pins/noseturn)

Expert

Physical condition :

60- 100km / more than 1800m of altitude difference (very good physical condition and regular endurance training required)

Control technology :

Difficult excursion with many steep areas, narrow curves, exposed areas, walking passages with portages.
